Applivo integrates with Adzuna's documented job-search API to ingest real-time openings and compute market-wide compensation percentiles.
Through Adzuna, candidates gain access to broad multi-country job search coverage across the United States, United Kingdom, India, Canada, and Australia, while correlating advertised salary ranges directly against candidate seniority and location preferences.
Configuration
Adzuna operates as an API-level discovery integration. Candidates do not need individual Adzuna accounts; credentials are configured at the deployment level by the administrator:
- Obtain an Application ID and Application Key from the official Adzuna Developer Portal (developer.adzuna.com).
- Add ADZUNA_APP_ID and ADZUNA_APP_KEY to your server's .env configuration.
- Set ADZUNA_COUNTRY to your target job market (e.g., 'in' for India, 'us' for United States, 'gb' for United Kingdom).
- Restart the backend service. Adzuna feeds activate automatically within the job discovery aggregator.
How it works
The Adzuna connector runs on a periodic background schedule or on-demand query trigger:
- 1. Query Formation: The discovery service constructs structured requests specifying target role titles (e.g., 'Software Engineer', 'Frontend Developer'), location coordinates, search radius, and category filters.
- 2. Listing Ingestion: Adzuna returns paginated JSON listings including company name, title, description excerpt, geographical location, contract type (permanent/contract), and salary min/max bounds.
- 3. Normalization: Listings are normalized into Applivo's standard schema and saved to the jobs table with source='adzuna'.
- 4. Salary Indexing: Advertised compensation is mapped against regional market percentiles to highlight above-median compensation opportunities.
- 5. Portal Routing: Candidates can review the opportunity in Applivo and click the direct canonical link to apply on the verified employer portal.

Permissions and data access
