Troubleshooting connections
Comprehensive diagnostic matrix across OAuth handshakes, webhook deliveries, session drops, and provider limits.

Overview
Integrations rely on external service availability, active credentials, and valid network communication. When a connection drops, an OAuth handshake fails, or a webhook delivery times out, consult this comprehensive diagnostic reference to identify verified causes and corrective resolutions.
Diagnostic checklist
Perform these basic checks before deep troubleshooting:
- 1. Check connection status in Dashboard → Connections. Look for status messages explaining the exact error.
- 2. If an integration reports 'Needs Reauth', click Reconnect to refresh expired or revoked access tokens.
- 3. For Chrome extension issues, ensure you are logged into the dashboard in the same Chrome profile with an active Pro/Premium subscription.
- 4. For outbound webhooks, inspect the Delivery History tab in the Webhook Config Modal for HTTP status codes.
Common symptoms and resolutions
| Symptom | Likely Verified Cause | Corrective Steps |
|---|---|---|
| OAuth redirect error 'invalid_or_expired_state' | Authorization took longer than 10 minutes or browser blocked session cookies | Restart the connection flow from the Connections page and complete sign-in promptly. |
| Internshala connection drops after days | Platform session cookie expired or Internshala requested CAPTCHA | Click Reconnect on the Internshala card and log in again. |
| Calendly webhook shows 401 signature failure | CALENDLY_WEBHOOK_SIGNING_KEY mismatch or server clock out of sync | Check server .env signing key and ensure server system time is synchronized with NTP. |
| Notion sync fails with 404 Object Not Found | Selected database was deleted or integration was removed from page | Re-open Notion config modal, grant access in Notion, and select an active database. |
| Slack test alert returns 'channel_not_found' | Target channel was deleted or archived in Slack workspace | Re-authorize Slack and select an active public or private channel. |
| Webhook reports 'SSRF Validation Error' | Endpoint URL resolves to private loopback (127.0.0.1) or RFC 1918 IP | Use a public, HTTPS-accessible domain or cloud tunnel. |
| Extension reports 403 Forbidden on run start | User plan is Free tier or daily quota exhausted | Upgrade to Pro or Premium, or wait until quota resets at midnight. |
| Google Calendar returns 'Insufficient Permissions' | Google OAuth app calendar scope was not granted during consent | Disconnect Google Calendar and reconnect, checking all requested permission boxes. |
