Sync saved jobs and application tracking data into your custom Notion workspace database.

Overview

Notion is the premier workspace and modular database tool used by modern professionals to manage projects and career progression. Applivo's Notion integration (app/services/integrations/notion.py) automatically synchronizes newly analyzed job matches and active application stages into a database of your choice within your personal or team Notion workspace.

Configuration

Connecting Notion involves OAuth 2.0 authorization and destination page selection:

1. Navigate to Connections → Productivity tools and locate Notion.
2. Click Connect. You are redirected to Notion's official authorization screen.
3. Select the Notion workspace and choose the pages you wish to share with Applivo.
4. Click Allow Access. Notion redirects to Applivo's callback endpoint.
5. In the Notion Config Modal that appears, select your destination Job Tracker database from the dropdown (GET /api/integrations/notion/databases).
6. Save your selection. The connection activates, displaying your target database title.

How it works

Notion synchronization is powered by Applivo's central event dispatcher (app/services/integrations/dispatcher.py):

• 1. Trigger: When Lumi analyzes a newly scraped job and computes a match score >= 50, the dispatcher emits a job.match_found event.
• 2. Payload Formatting: The Notion provider formats the event into standard Notion page properties: Job Title (title), Company (rich text), Location (rich text), Match Score (number), Status (select), and Job URL (url).
• 3. Idempotent Upsert: Checks if a page with the corresponding Applivo Job ID already exists in the database. If present, it updates the record; if absent, it creates a new page.
• 4. Manual Sync: In addition to event triggers, candidates can click 'Sync to Notion' directly from any job details card in the dashboard.

Permissions and data access

Requests Notion's content.read and page.write integration permissions. Access is strictly confined to the specific Notion pages and databases you explicitly grant during authorization.

Can I customize which Notion properties Applivo populates?

Applivo automatically populates standard columns (Name, Company, Status, URL). You can add additional custom columns in Notion (such as Notes or Personal Rating) without disrupting sync.
